Short family reunion book

My Grandma & Grandpa Short would be 100 years old this year (2012) if they were still alive today. I have put together a digital book to celebrate their life. My Aunt Val let me have this project for our family reunion and it was exciting to learn a bit more about my grandparents.

I am a simple scrapbooker! I like my pictures to be the focal point! I am not one to have so many embellishment's that you can's see the pictures.

Finger food for Halloween

Ok this year for our Halloween dinner we had finger food...

No utensils... just fingers.

Peanut butter pretzels snacks... it is a strange sensation to bite into one of these fingers... Too much peanut butter for me. The recipe I found calls for: Pretzels, slivered almonds, 3/4 Cup peanut butter, 1/2 Cup honey, 1 Cup powder milk. Mix peanut butter, honey, and dry milk together and shape it around a stick pretzel. Add some knuckle marks (i used my finger nail) and add the almond as the finger nail.They look so real..  eeeek!

I think I would use less powder milk. Actually.... I think I might make these fingers again but with my peanut butter cup candy recipe. It is the same consistency but tastes better! It is always fun to try something new and gross on Halloween.

It is so sad to say Goodbye!

I have two dear friends moving away.... I will miss seeing them as often as I do. I thought I would share with you the little gifts I made for them.

The gift for my next friend was a little scrapbook of some of the fun things we have done together with our families. They are a fun and silly family so this card was fun to make for her.

Congratulations my son!

My son graduated from his seminary program this past Sunday. He was asked to speak at the graduation. He did a fabulous job! My heart was full of gratitude as I listened to him speak about the growth he has experienced in the Seminary program. He is becoming an outstanding man. High School Graduation is right around the corner, then he is off to collage at Brigham Young University in Provo Ut.

I was feeling good with my switch rodeo 720, so i decided to try a switch double rodeo 1260. As i came around for the landing i landed back seat and my ski snapped in the back. (starting backwards with a double rodeo with 3 and half spins).

Can you smell the freshly baked bread??
