Stampin' Up! Leadership 2010 "Love What You Do!"

Well I have just returned from our annual Leadership conference in Phoenix Arizona. I had such a great time with amazing women who I have known for many years. Here are just some of these women. (I did not get pictures of everyone I wanted to.)

Stampin' Up! put on a beautiful Breakfast for past Advisory Board Members. Everything was decorated so beautifully in a gold and burgundy color scheme. We had a string quartet as our background music, a delicious breakfast and of course great swaps.

We had a shoebox swap in my hotel room with the leaders in my group. Some of us were up till 2am stamping...I felt sorry for our cleaning lady! Our room was a mess when we got done!

We had a night where we celebrated all the Mangers and above. We enjoyed a Mexican Fiesta. We were entertained by bull riders, rope throwers, and more. Our entertainment was cut short when a cowboy broke his leg. He was doing the "Ride of Death" as they called it.... I was going to help with the audience participation part of the night. I was going to STAMP A CALF! I was a bit sad when the rest of the show was cut short because of the accident... what a memory that would have been to STAMP A CALF!!! (Thanks Rachel for letting me borrow your tennis shoes) We pray for the cowboy and his family.

 

We were given a shawl, a stamp set wrapped up in a bright colored towel with a crepe paper flower attached. All in all it was a memorable night.

As we ate dinner we shared concern for the cowboy and his family. We decided we would like to collect some money to help the man and his family. So I checked with Shelli to see if she was ok with us collecting donations. (Of course she was.) So we talked to the manager and he put a vase out for the money donations. there was about $75 in the vase. Then Pearl diapered form our table. When I inquired where she was everyone pointed to the oposite end of the room. There was Pearl with her zip lock baggie going from table to table giving everyone the opportunity to donate... She gathered quite a bit of money. As we gave it the the Manager she informed us that the cowboy did not have insurance. Our hearts were happy as we knew he could use this money gathered  in his behalf. Go Pearl! She was a great example to me of going out and getting the job done! There was no waiting around to see if people would contribute.

 

I love what I Do! I love the women and men who have influenced me for good!

Stamping Techniques

We had a fun group of demonstrators get together for our Utah gathering. We played with fire, bleach, shimmery paint and other things to create beautiful cards.

Group Gathering at Convention

The Annual Stampin' Up! Convention is coming soon- Aug 5-8th
 I know some of you are already to come to Salt Lake!

Friday night from 7-10:00 PM (ish)
This is Open house style. Come when you can, but

I will provide dessert for all who would like something sweet!

I just want to create a place for us to gather and connect while we are at convention.

Jeanne came to Park City to watch he daughter compete in a softball tournament. It was great to visit with her for a little while as we watched the game. Her daughter did great, 4th out of 27! Good job! We had fun chit chatting about kids, convention, stamping, husbands' employment etc... Thanks Jeanne for the fun picture! It was great to see you.

All Stamped Up! Group gathering last week!

We are stamping our Convention Swaps!! Convention is coming... Each Demonstrator stamps sample cards to swap with other demonstrators. Some demonstrators make hundreds of cards where others make 20, 30, 50.... It is all up to you how many you want to swap. Once you have swapped your cards you will then come home with many different adorable card samples! Swapping is fun! Convention is more fun!!!

Way Cute, Stationary Holder!!

This was an idea from our California meeting door prize table. It is so Cute! I did not get the name of the demonstrator who made it!! I'm sorry to not give credit where credit is due! It is a darling holder. You did a great job!!!

My mom actually got the original stationary set from the group meeting. She made me a copy for my birthday! (I'll have to check to see if there is a name on the original)

This is Margret's version of the stationary set:

There are 4 note cards. 2 on each side of the holder.
Side view Cards on the outside, 4 envelopes on the inside along with a note pad and pen. The holder is held together by small Velcro pieces. This is way Cute, I love it!!

California meeting May 2 2009

We had a wonderful time together in California!

Make N Takes!!!

Project #1 Sticky Shapes

We used glitter on the stick die cuts. Everyone chose a shape, glittered it up and took it home. At home they will create the complete card. Here are some samples I made up. Hopefully they will inspire your project!

Project #2 Friends 24-7

We used versa mark ink on Glossy paper, then using the brayer we inked up the glossy card stock. leaving a ghosting effect! The circle scissors cut out all the circles and we masked the bird and we were suposed to use... bashful blue ink and brayered over the bird to give a soft sky color. I forgot teh BBlue ink pad... oops! The eylet punch made the lace border  and our stitched ribbon pulled the whoe card together!

Project #3 Bag with Scollops treat box

I Turned the box on its side and made a treat box... Punch holes in th ecenter score of one side pannel. Push the one side pannel of the box in about 1/2 inch and adhear with sticky strip. This will create a bowl type area that will allow you to put treats in the  box! Using succker sticks we made our own suckers with the Good friend stamp set. Love the large grommets!! I had alot of left over jelly bellies I guess everyone was afraid they  would spill in their bags when they took them home.... Well they did spill in my bag on the way home!! I had jelly Bellies everwhere when I got home (smile, laugh!!) I guess one plane trip on the way down was all they could stand.

  
It was so great to see all of you!! It was fun to have my mom and my Allie girl come with me on this trip!
